When I swapped mine for electronic ignition off of a 78 and it made quite a difference...

I didn't notice the pinholes until I filled it up one day and left it sitting in the sun, Had 3 pinhole geysers not far from the cap.
I was going to clean and seal it until I snagged...

Replaced a set of rusted upper fork tubes with XJ tubes on the SF when I had it. They were free so I ended up welding up the air inlet hole in the tube which was then covered up with the SF headlight...
