I took his final chart and highlighted drives that won't work and ones that need modifications outside normal swaps, I will repost here if the author agrees.

Was looking at other final drives and some are pretty similar looking on both drive side and shock mount areas...

That or fill the bottom of the pocket with black RTV or a rubber...

I cleaned the snot out of it with the acetone and used just the liquid steel product I had leftover from the GS AIR hole project....

Not pulling apart pinion method...

Since most of the failures are involving torqueing and preload I have decided not to pull it apart and just plug the holes with some product , hence unable to use your method as it involves pulling...

I had worked on a different master that week and this one was on bench still together, kit matches parts that were in the 1/2...

Make sure both sides of the bike's pipes are in the same condition, ie not aiming at a tarnished one or a rusty one then comparing to clean chrome as I notice a difference as well if I do that.

I found that the current holes for the beadlockers were perfect for tapping to 1/8" pipe thread, I saw no reason to enlarge holes to 7/16" to use the 1/4" pipe thread plugs as directed in the forum...
