I seem to remember seeing a comment from a few years back about one out on the west coast but I'd like to find something east of the Mississippi....

Funny that you should mention that

I find it's easier to keep my mouth shut or fingers away from the keyboard and be thought a fool rather than proving it, repeatedly. I must have half of the site bookmarked, starting with the 'tach...

Key Code

That question is sitting out there like a hanging curve ball over the center of the plate.

I'm not sure that they changed the blanks over the 4 year run but just to hazard a guess, "The one that...

That was my first thought also

No, there is nothing internal you could have damaged by slamming the deck except for the front wheels. I'd check them just GP.

The fuel system is a gravity feed most likely and gas would leak...

Outstanding

Maybe in the pictures it looks spectacular and maybe up close it has orange peel but like you said, buff the hell out of it, shoot some clear, bake and buff again and it's GTG for years.

The bike...

Really nice looking

Dunno if you post 'pre' pics or not but the bike looks really nice now.
Congratulations on the work you have done!

Pull it, strip it and blow on new paint.

Might I recommend an epoxy primer as well as a good epoxy paint?

Bead blasting is clean

I've been contemplating getting a bead blaster sans dust collection system as it's going out back and I don't care where the dust goes.

I used to have access to one and used it for everything...

Hmmm

I will never kvetch about the crap I keep finding on my two bikes, really its just the '79 Special that got the 'special' touch from the PO mainly in the paint and a few spots in the wiring grafts he...

I've never tried it as a matter of fact.

My '86 Celica ST has been primered for almost a year now as I gathered front and rear plastic for it and worked some of...

You cannot use 'old' pin and sockets because there is a plug that is integral to the crimp on the new pins and sockets that seals each one in it's connector.

After further consideration I went...
