if ur curious why not try it urself and report back like others have. i used Mobil 1 15W50 without issues and found the shifting smoother which is why i used it. im back to Valvoline 20W40 bike oil...

Turn signals

id be extremely careful going around corners too fast with the shaft drive. the rear wheel will kick out on you. my footpegs also bottom out when im too low around the corners too givin me a warning...

not sure where ur coming up with ur figures but if the fuel lght is coming on the sender wire under the tank can be grounding creating ur fuel light to come on. just my 2 cents

frt 36 rear 40 on my 81 SH w Kerker and Unifilter in stock air box. my best hywy mileage was 49 avg is 40-45 and thats not nec takin it easy! may be hard to duplicate lol :D

these air cooled bikes should use 20w50 to keep cooler. 10w40 is for water cooled bikes as far as im concerned. ur poppin into neutral isnt the oil. im sure an experienced trans member will post

thanx WMarshy but this 81 doesnt seem to like any synthetics including causing starter clutch spin on cold starts. i purchased the Super Tec 85W140 because of its thickness and test drove the bike....
