Cool I will definitely entertain it a bit more closely. Still haven't been able to find much on engine life, but I imagine if quality control was anything like the 11, the engine should hold up well...

Awesome! I'll tell him to start with a tube of dielectric grease and just pop apart and reconnect all of the connectors. Or is there a better method?

My friend gets 13.4v at idle, but drops to 12.4v at 1/4-1/2 throttle, and battery dies within a mile of riding. Any suggestions what to fix/replace first?
