Angry I got run over AGAIN!

I got my Trump check and hopped on my Harley, then almost immediately after cashing the check I got squozed between an SUV and the curb at a stoplight.

I was next to the guy on his right side because he was going forward and I was turning right.

The guy changed his mind at the last second and decided to turn right across the bike lane/right turn lane with no signal and without looking, then dragged me and the bike along the curb for a few.

Oow. Chuh.

A whole bunch of people stopped in the middle of the road and and helped me get up, then move the bike -- Bless Them!

Both saddlebags and the mustache bar are smushed again for about $1,500 Samoleans but we're both insured so -- pfft!

I still need to go shopping but it kind of hurts to just to breathe much less ride and haul groceries so maybe tomorrow.
I'll see a doctor if I don't feel better but right now I think it's just old age and creakiness after introducing myself to the curb and the sidewalk.

A repair estimate gets done on Tuesday morning so I'm strictly on the XJ1100 for now.

And I don't wanna' die, I just wanna ride on my motorcy... cle!.

Two birthdays! Out'a sight and blemish free!

I feel better after soaking in the tub but the bike doesn't look like it helped any.

Meh, it's just metal and everyone's alright so it's dueling insurance policies.

Thanks, man, me too!

There's some scuffage on both of my boots from the SUV tire and the curb but no foot surgery for me today.

Also glad that you're okay, well mostly anyway .

Some idiot backed into my wife's car just today too. A semi was turning so the car in front of her backed up to make room without looking and backed right into her. No real damage, but still... how do people not look before moving or changing lanes!?!? . But almost feel sorry for the lady tbh, the wrath of my wife is not inconsequential, and from the way she told it, the lady got an earful, lmao.

I hate it when stuff like that happens.

My ex was stopped at a light and had to watch helplessly as the semi trailer in front of her that was loaded with steel beams went over the curb in a right turn. The guy stopped before he took out the traffic light and the control box, then backed up to try again and punched holes in her car with the steel hanging off the end of the trailer.

That was not fun day.

Scott glad you’re relatively unscathed and the bike is fixable. Those heritage softails are the only Harleys that have made me visit three dealers just to think about ‘someday.’

Scott,
Very Glad you are OK.

Personally, I'd see the doctor asap. Maybe it is just soreness, but better to get a professional to check.

Glad your able to talk about this ! For sure see the Doc. If you feel it now it won't get better before it's back to normal.
I know from first hand.

Ditto! Go get medical attention! You aren't going to pay for it.

Be well!

Thanks everyone! My chest still hurts and since I have two stents in my heart I'm going by the hospital this morning.
I didn't get to finish shopping yesterday so we're still out of sugar: No Sugar Tonight.

(nudge)
Steve, the Heritage is really comfortable and it's the only Softail with factory cruise control because it's the 'light touring' model.

Hi Scott,
Glad you survived the encounter. As others have said. Have a doctor check you out ASAP. In case anything develops later.
I sure hope it's all good but better safe than sorry.

Phil
