Thanks for this, Steptoe, I've been meaning to build something like it to quickly check the fuel levels so I don't have to dance the carburetor removal/float-height tango.

How is the tee-tree attached to the carbs? I can't quite see it in the video, is it just hanging on the edge of the carburetor by a piece baling of wire/paper clip or something?

My '80G doesn't have the float bowl drain screw and built-in hose nipple like the '81 XS and the XJ but someone found a metric plug with a hose nipple at NAPA that can temporarily replace the solid float bowl drain plug.

So far I keep forgetting about the plugs and hoses entirely when I'm at NAPA or I forget the size so it's taken a lot more time to build one than it should.

Zip ties. Thanks, mate!

My eyes are not what they used to be. I should get one of those giant magnifying lenses like they used to make to put in front of the screen of the old small-screen televisions.
