XS1100S Body Kits
I was wondering about websites that have cafe racer style fairings and other body parts, i'm also looking for a good looking 2 person seat that would look good on the cafe racer style, just let me know of the sites if you know of any.
Thanks |

There's little or no XS11-specific aftermarket 'body parts' out there, but there's stuff that can be 'adapted'. For fairings, try these guys:
http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/...rter.htm#price There's other sources, you'll just have to look around until you find something you like. Shoei also makes (or made; it may be out of production) a cafe-style fairing that a few members have used. Expect to build your own mounting hardware. Seats? That's a bit tougher; you don't say what year/model XS you have, as that will determine just how much work will be involved. If you have a 'standard', the '78-79 stock seat may be the easiest choice as it already has the 'tail cone', so maybe some minor mods will give you the look you want. If you have a special, seat swapping gets much harder. There's some 'generic' cafe seat pans out there, but again, you'll be fabbing any mounting hardware. You might also look over at the XS11UK site (http://www.benefiscal.co.uk/forum/in...cadb92b29b8) for ideas, but remember that many parts they use are all-but-impossible to get here. Good luck!

I know Karla (member karkj) had a stash of the small, cafe-style fairings and fenders that Bob liked to use on his custom XS's. Not sure what is left at this point though, as this was at the beginning of this Summer.

try Roccitycafe.com and dimecitycycles.com. Very upstanding, and very Cafe!
Also, there is no such thing as a "good looking" two up cafe seat. Either you have a cafe seat or you don't ![]() ![]() Like was said, the late '70's seat will be as close as you can get. I have my two up seat out of evil necessity, as my wife likes to ride along from time to time. Otherwise it would be down the road. Also, most of the component seats and fairings you find will require fitting to your specific bike (additional framework, etc.) That is unless you glass your own! This is my home made thruxton seat on an XS360 ![]() Note no fenders or farings, either ![]()

Sorry, i forgot about the year... It's a 1979 and yes it's a special, i don't know how you found those fairings cause i've been looking for a while now and couldn't find any... But thank you very much, that's exactly what i was looking for.
As far as the seats go, i just basically want a sleeker looking one, you seem to have it down though, i like the looks of the seat in the top picture ![]() |

http://www.xs11.com/xs11-info/ads-br...f-special.html ... and if yours is different the PO probably swapped for a 'touring' style seat. The seat pan should be the same in any case, and new covers are available here (http://www.motorcycleseatcovers.com/...ake=YAMAHA&HP=) but unfortunately the foam isn't. But a competent upholerstry shop should be able to fix you up, or look for a another seat (maybe a trade for someone looking for that style?).

Well, i don't have the stock seat... But i might just have a different pattern or design put on it by an upholstery place, that might make me happy enough, I'm still in brainstorm mode till winter rolls around and then i'll start all the work

The small beemer style cafe fairing is about50 bucks. Type viper fairing. Also maehr (sp?) sells them as well but they are a little more. A while back. i posted a pic of a 79 with tthe zrx 1200r fairing on it. Its very nice. Airtech sells it for 130 this is also where i got my chinscoop. Looks very nice... i just have to fab up mounts... also search google for quarter fairing, and bikini fairing, and fly screen lots of stuff out there!

Just thought I'd let you know that a factory fairing was fitted to the 1981 XS11 models RH (oceania spec) and 5k7 Sport (Euro spec) and was commonly marked as a 5K7.
As for seats, I've got a 1979 SF Special which has an RH seat on it which bolts straight on with NO mods Here they are just to give you an idea. ![]() Front view. ![]() Mind you, trying to find the 8 inch headlight to fit the fairing is another mission altogether.

Nathan, Try the internet. Makes sourcing parts overseas much easier. That's what I do.
Fork seals & brake rotors from USA, brake pads from Germany, Headlight kit from Japan etc.
